Taking Root Farms provides services for adults (18+) with intellectual/developmental disabilities who have completed high school and are seeking a supportive place to build skills and find a sense of belonging. 

Adult Day Services M-F are from 9am to 2pm. Non-modified transportation is available within a limited area. Contact Us to discuss more details.

Yes! Our programs continue throughout the year with seasonal farm activities and indoor projects during colder months.

Whenever possible, we encourage participants to explore their interests while trying new experiences and developing new skills.

Participants build vocational skills, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, responsibility, confidence, and daily living skills through hands-on experiences.

Built for high school graduates (18+) seeking a supportive place to grow & belong.

We encourage families and caregivers to discuss individual needs with our staff so we can determine the best level of support. We also ask that we are informed of any medical requirements beforehand.

Participant safety is a top priority. Staff provide supervision, instruction, and support while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.

We provide updates, answer questions, and work closely with families and caregivers throughout each participant’s journey.

We welcome individuals, families, community organizations, churches, businesses, and others who want to make a meaningful difference.

Not at all! No farming experience is required. We’ll provide guidance and instruction, so all you need is a willingness to learn, lend a hand, and support our participants.

Volunteers assist with a variety of tasks throughout the year, including seasonal projects, events, organizing materials, and supporting participants during activities. Opportunities vary depending on the season and the farm’s current needs.
